Is “Advocating” for Students Just Hurting Their Chances To Build Resilience?

“We have the best intentions when we advocate for students. But could it actually be doing them a disservice?”

Comment: Taking all the obstacles away from students takes away the ability for a students to practice and learn how to advocate for themselves. Parents need to remember that developing independent, self-advocating individuals is a goal.
